Bathroom
Picking the right light fixtures for the bathroom is a wonderful way to put your own stamp on a room that doesn't always lend itself to designer accessories the way a living room would.
- Create a stylish space for relaxation by using recessed downlights in your ceiling near your shower or large bathtubs. Manufacturers make damp-location fixtures for areas such as these. (*Note: Read manufacturer directions. Some damp-location fixtures are strictly indoor or outdoor, have safety specifications and should not be mistaken as completely water-proof fixtures.)
- Vanity lights, ranging from traditional to the large globular lights used in dressing rooms, are lovely accents around or over your mirror. You achieve clean light for daily grooming purposes. Bothered by glare? Opt for vanity lights with frosted shades or bulbs. GREENCulture's wide variety of vanity lights can be found here.
- Unless you have a smaller bathroom that gets proper light from vanity bars, a recessed ambient light fixture should supply the bulk of your lighting needs.
